Why am I doing this?

I am a nonbinary trans person from Kansas. I may live in New Jersey, but Kansas is where I truly felt at home growing up. My family is there now. I have trans friends there now I want to have safety, love, + acceptance. I was also inspired by my friend Sharkboy Stuff, another LGBTQ+ artist in New Jersey who is known for his community support in his home state. He started a similar project in Monmouth County, NJ which inspired me to do the same in my home state.

Recently, Republican lawmakers in Kansas have passed a harmful bill. Trans people are now barred from bathrooms that don’t align with their sex assigned at birth, and they can be sued for $1,000 in “damages” for being in caught in the “wrong” bathroom. Also, as of February 26, 2026, every Transgender Kansan had their drivers license immediately invalidated. Anyone who had their sex amended on their birth certificate has also been invalidated.

It won’t fix everything but help me tell my trans, gender non conforming, queer family in Kansas, “you are not alone!”
